Sing your baleful tune for me
By the dead glow of security lights
The peripheral gaze of our loving watchmen
Let go your slow and anguished melody
An ode to boredom and loneliness
Mourn with me the somber essence of sobriety
Not fleeting dreams callously undreamt
But the unfortunate lucidity that reminds us we're dreaming
As you raise your cries, I'll raise my glass
I'll propose a toast: To long life and a quick death
I'll drink you in tonight
Throw you back, my Tequila
My Patron Saint of argent inherence
Set aflame my useless entrails
Strangle me with your cold and loving hands
I'll cough and splutter, my tongue will convulse
But these lips will mutter not a word
Eloquence escapes me, a bounty on the damned rogue's head
But tonight I wish not to chase him
I only ask you to take pity
Show love to a listless man who cannot speak in reciprocation
Sing your songs on my behalf
Sing your baleful tune for me
